RECENT RESULTS - FINE ASIAN ART 20 MAY 2024
Under the direction of Lee Young, our specialist Asian Art department holds two dedicated sales per year representing the key collecting regions of China, Japan and South East Asia.
Gone are the days where items need to be taken to London to reach the highest price. This department benefits from state of the art bidding technology, alongside Lee’s international experience and reach, that places our sales in front of a worldwide audience. As proud members of Asian Art in London our vendors also benefit from the visibility and prestige this event brings.
Recent world events have not dampened the booming Chinese art market which continues to attract the attention of collectors globally. World record prices are commonplace for the best examples from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, along with highly prized objects that once graced the interiors of the Imperial Palaces. Showcasing the true spectacle of the orient, our Asian Art sales include fine examples of ceramics, jade and bronzes from key dynasties, alongside calligraphy, paintings, artworks in cloisonné, enamel and wood.
