Dore and Rees is pleased to announce the launch of their Picture department under the leadership of Graham Snow.
Pictures are offered within the Select Interiors auctions, and are a growing category for the department. From early Renaissance to Contemporary, works embodying the major eras and styles in art history regularly grace the saleroom. Demure period portraits to abstract expressionism, English landscapes to contemporary prints and photography, all examples of flat art are represented.
Modern and contemporary art is of particular interest, it is a sector seeing strong market results and of popular appeal. Rising prices are seen for works by Graham Sutherland, George Rouault, Raoul Duffy, Pavel Tchelitchew, Milton Avery, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso, Ben Nicholson, Keith Vaughan, John Piper, Craigie Aichison, Kieth Coventry, Keith Tyson, Damian Hirst, Tracey Emin and Mark Quinn.
