Whilst antique jewellery is always highly prized and popular, particularly early Georgian, Victorian Classical revival, romantic floral jewellery of all periods and of course the vibrant designs of the Art Deco period, our latest jewellery sale achieved fantastic results for modern and costume jewellery with pieces by JAR and Wendy Ramshaw making over £4000 each. Our silver auction in June demonstrated that unusual small collectors’ items, objects of virtue, and less obvious looking silver, are still very attractive to collectors so do come and see Duncan if you have something to sell, however big or small! The sale in June achieved £435 for a small 17th Century fork with agate handle and £560 for a pair of engraved buttons from 1740, as well as high prices for larger items like the beautiful silver gilt hare from 1890 which made £4650.
